According
to a quote by Rosenfield referenced in Bannerjee, open park systems served to
inspire republican virtue for civil pride, social contract, a sense of freedom
and common sense. Urban park systems however encourage the segregation of
social classes and does not take into consideration race, class, sex, and
integration. As a result an imaginary barrier of separation of social classes
is created mong race class and ethnicity. This can be defied as there is a
comparison of Jackson square and Tamarind. The upper class is separated from
the middle and lower class. In Comparison of Jackson square to Tamarind square
where upper class persons resided and no sign of homeless persons that resided
in this area. Behind this area of Jackson Square where the elite resided no
vagrants were seen in this area however they were seen at Tamarind Square.
